Tariffs on Environmental Goods: A (Non) Starter for Developing Countries' Green Transition
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is exploring the role of trade policy instruments to promote import and export of environmental goods to facilitate the transition to a green economy.

What are the key constraints faced by developing countries to trade in environmental goods? How can future policy negotiations and developments on the topic of environmental goods be framed to address such constraints and strengthen developing countries' ability to integrate into green value chains?

This webinar will:
- Take stock of the developments at the multilateral and regional frameworks on environmental goods related negotiations and assess the scope of developing countries engagement;
- Discuss impact of tariff and non-tariff measures on developing countries’ trade in environmental goods and accessing necessary technology to effectively integrate into sustainable value chains;
- Assess key priorities for developing countries on this topic and how to better bring such perspectives into future negotiations and dialogues on environmental goods.
